- Over 80% use it for purposes other than voice calls or SMS?
- 60% use their mobile device to access the internet everyday?
- AND – 60% won’t leave home without it?
The uptake and usage of mobile devices in Australia is extensive and not surprisingly they have infiltrated our workplaces. BUT – how widespread is the use of mobile devices for learning?
Continuing our previous research into the use of mobiles – see Mobile Workforce 2012 – I have been commissioned to conduct a brief research study on the state of mobile learning in Australia. The findings will be included in an open source ebook on global mobile learning intiaitives through the Athabasca University in Canada. In addition, I will publish the results in a whitepaper as part of the State of Social Business series prepared by Headshift Asia Pacific. The Australian Institute of Training & Development (AITD) will also feature the results and case studies in an upcoming edition of their magazine, Training & Development.
BUT – I need your help!
Can you spend a few minutes to share your mobile learning experiences with me, to inform the research project?
We’d like to feature a number of case studies – you can submit yours either anonymously or we can mention your company – but we won’t publish your case study without your specific approval.

Thanks Irena! The results will be published in a chapter in a global ebook on mobile learning through University of Athabasca. We will also publish a whitepaper and do a featured story in AITD magazine: Training & Development.

Which I am keen to have learning resources uploaded for student to access at the tap of a finger on their SP onsite anytime, have great ideas but hitting walls with progress. I don’t even have a SP myself but last time I look on my wife’s this is a first for the Trade Learning in Australia to have this.
