The team at Ripple Effect Group are excited to be supporting the first Google Glass meet up in Australia being held at the University of Canberra’s Inspire Centre. While some people are dismissing Google Glass as just another fad for geeks, researchers (such as those at the Inspire Centre) are investigating the potential through the development of apps that will augment or enhance experiences and interactions with our immediate environment.

At Ripple Effect Group, we’ve been researching the application of wearable technologies as part of a recent client project in the medical profession and can already anticipate the potential for improved practices through connected devices like Google Glass. Having the opportunity to engage with local and international members of the Google Glass Explorers community provides us with the opportunity to extend our research knowledge with wearables and engage in conversations that will contribute to our ability to review how professional practice and workplaces will be impacted.

Watch this space (excuse the pun) to find out how we imagine WYOD (wear your own device) will reframe (second pun in one sentence) your workplace!
